1. Who is responsible

Alkems is a product of Alkemya, operated by Edwin Alejandro Jiménez Ramírez in San José, Costa Rica, who is responsible for your personal data. Contact: support@alkems.com.

2. What we collect

  • Account data: your email, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
  • Your content: prompts, images, videos and audio you upload, and the creations you make.
  • Usage data: credits used, creations, settings, device and browser information, and security logs.
  • Payment data: payments are processed by our payment provider, which acts as Merchant of Record. We do not receive or store your card details; we receive the purchase, the plan and a customer reference.

3. Why we use it

  • To run Alkems: create your account, process your creations, keep your library and your credit balance.
  • To keep it safe: moderate content, prevent fraud and abuse, and secure accounts.
  • To support you and send service messages, such as sign-in links and receipts.
  • To comply with the law.

We do not sell your data, we do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not show third-party advertising inside Alkems.

4. Who processes it for us

We use service providers that process data only on our instructions: hosting and database (Vercel, Supabase), file storage (Cloudflare), AI model providers that run your creations (such as Runware, BytePlus, Google and OpenAI, including content moderation), background jobs, email delivery and payments (our Merchant of Record). Prompts and files sent to AI providers are used only to produce your result.

5. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. We choose providers that protect data with appropriate safeguards.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and content while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your content and personal data within 30 days, except what we must keep by law, such as purchase records.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or limit some uses, as provided by Costa Rica's Law 8968 and the laws of your country, such as the GDPR in Europe. You can delete your account from its settings, or write to support@alkems.com. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

8. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and protect the service. We do not use advertising cookies.

9. Children

Alkems is only for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors, and we close accounts that belong to them.

10. Changes

We will post any update here with its date and tell you about important changes before they apply.
